Thank God it´s Friday!!!

For sometimes days are so hard, the only thing that can help a woman to survive without looking like a beaten warrior is the make-up that can hide everything ..

And thus I am going to "draw and paint" ...

and YOU..

* * HAVE A NICE WEEKEND  *  *

Never say never..

How often we agree and pass this message further.. And despite this saying I ended up unexpectedly (or maybe a little) as this utter and foremost proof, when moving again from one place to another, not ceasing to dream about a home I will once be creating for others with either the right person to share with or myself but being happy...

And as the second option is the current status, I decided to fulfill also the other part of this second scenario and I will try to take it with an attitude hopefully worth of an adult.. I am to be authentic, positive, determined and still continuing with the goals I made for myself about my life and my future.. No matter what... But of course, let´s give a space to Mr. Life itself.. You never know.. :)

And if by any chance there will be a change in my ´living´ statuses, I will not move out to be somewhere else so soon afterwards. Only under the exception I wanted to leave the country in order to be closer to my beloved sun, beaches and sea everywhere around...
And meanwhile,

LET´S ALL DREAM LITTLE MORE...

The chance your dreams might come true is not that low as you might think it is. Really.

Spring or not to spring..

I guess you all noticed how this winter appeared to be everything but not a proper white cold winter.. I tried to adjust accordingly, as you could see, I ran to a warmer country but as they forecasted rain again and despite, it was sunny again, I realized it is maybe time to think about upcoming spring.. I always tried to run away from patterns and flowers, lines vs. dotted clothes but I suddenly started to admire all the window shops around filled with so many colors and patterns.. So far I resisted to shop, we´ll see till when.:) Meanwhile I splurge on inspiration coming from everywhere.. Just look at this photography, simple combination and yet a strong effect! I am close to the look with my new glasses (2 Euro, Thai) that are a bit bigger but hopefully they will be chic.. I will post them on Instagram.. Sometimes it is really hard to look at yourself from a different angle and be honest with yourself what is complimenting your face and appearance, isn´t it??? Fortunately for this we have friends... Let me know your thoughts and inspiration for the spring, too.. :)

When no Valentine was around..

I happenned to be alone on a Valentine´s day..
Not alone alone as I was at work, had several interviews and had a very nice chat with my precious sister accompanied by wine and good food but as my true Valentine was by certain circumstances far away from me I found myself being alone on a Valentines´s night and I have to say, I did not expect it will be similarly pleasant as if being with somebody else.  Me and ´other me´ are still a funny company to be with, right? :)

I suddenly had the time to start writing the diary I was reconsidering for a longer time, I went straight to reading the book I bought about running (btw. quite funny:) and with regards to that I found myself exercising in the living room with music turned out loud. I finished and went back happily to bed with a feeling that world can be a better place tomorrow for me.

The point of this all however is that I somehow realized that even if you are living with somebody and you two are ´being a couple´, you have to have your inner freedom, live your life and that does not necessarily mean that you have to be together all the time. My whole family would tell you that each time I fell in love I was like on a roller-coaster, not listening to anybody, just doing what I wanted to do with guess- who I wanted to be with. And so they gave up expecting anything else from me another time this happened and still is happening. And though I would love to tell you that I am a new person after one night, it is not so. I just somehow realized that we all need FREEDOM in our lives and only after that you can freely decide what you want and if you want to live your life with somebody special to your heart.

And so I can at least say that I miss YOU and come back home soon.
AND TO ALL OF YOU, HAPPY AFTER - VALENTINE´S TIME!!!
LIFE GOES ON!!!

Crying out with wolves in the woods..

I have to say that I tried quite hard not to loose the passion and motivation I felt at the beginning of the year. Once you catch yourself to be in the routine, you can find out is indeed a nasty friend of yours. Fortunately, there are some steps needed to be done in order to save yourself from this grey environment we live in, especially during these cold winter months. Once you start to action unexpectedly even for yourself, it turns out the world becomes a colourful place to live in, you just have to do steps that are needed for your goals accomplishments. Therefore there were some of the things I had longer in mind and I decided to do them immediately after I returned from Thailand.

1. I applied for intensive French course lessons
2. I had all my doctor check-ups made
3. I asked for promotion at workplace I love
4. I decided not to accept better paid work offers only because I love my job, and as the freedom and flexibility are for me the highest values ever and I am so thankful to have them at current job
5. I bought myself tickets for Jamie Cullum´s concert in June (one of the very little musicians I listen to)
6. Instead of a gift for my namedate I choose a horse riding lesson (I never sit on one:)
6. I started to exercise and walk to work everyday (there are some beauties in Bratislava I discovered)
7. I am going to write a journal (for public) mentioned to be once a potential book (do not laugh:)
8. I am going to be ALIVE and NOT BORED this year!

Please feel free to make your own goals, I would not believe that thinking about them and actually doing steps heading to their fulfillment can be such an easy and quick process.
All you need is really just to START DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT!!!

And p.s. the book about "crying out with wolves" that I put in the name of the post should be in the compulsory reading list of every woman! You can buy it here or search for it somewhere else :)

Thailand.. #3. Shopping and not believing

I suppose you already heard that on vacation to Thailand the most expensive thing is the flight ticket. Once you have paid this, all the other expenses as food or accommodation are more or less a joke compared to our normal expenses here in Europe. Are you hungry on the streets? Cost of a main food: 1 EUR. Do you want to buy earrings you see among the crowd of other tourists shoppoholics? 1 EUR. Glasses? 2 EUR. Custom made summer leather sandals? 15 EUR. Polo shirts? 3 EUR. Armani jeans? 20 EUR. (Of course, it can be a first-hand copy of originals (guess where they are made), but it is still better than pay for the same ones 90 EUR and they tell you in Parndorf or anywhere else that it is the best price ever, right?)

And thus you are walking and heading forward in those tiny narrow streets in the famous markets in Bangkok and you feel lost most of the time. But who cares when there is so much of everything that your head is after two hours of being bombed by visual stimuli of different kind absorbed to a level it is ENOUGH? No one.. The vision of shopping for much less than in Europe is like an addiction. Fortunately for us, it took only some time after you realize you are on a vacation not on a two weeks shopping tour. :) Therefore, after the first shock and excitement, we concentrated after first shopping fever on other things as culture and unique attractions you can see in Bangkok or on islands. For example I really liked the model of Angkor Wat, Buddhist temple complex recently discovered in Cambodia jungle.. It was incredibly beautiful thing only to look at as a model with regard the fact, that it was built so early..

Or it were those funny attractions as an Undercomposed body of monk with Ray Ban glasses on, on one of the island (Koh Samui) whose wish was to be after his death exhibited as you can see on the picture.. What is a legend about him that he was able to foresee his own death and he foresaw that his body will remain after death undercomposed therefore he wished to be put in the upright position like this so that future generation would follow Buddhist teachings and be saved from suffering.

There are many famous things you can read about in travel guides so I did not want to mention these here. Going back to shopping that we excessively did during our last days in Bangkok I need to mention that it is definitely worth to go to a tailor shop and have your suits custom made for very cheap price. We were leaving Thailand with custom made copy of Armani suit, shirts, and many many other things. You can choose whatever materials you like and they are able to make you your own jackets, pyjamas, whatever you like and can create in your mind, all of this ready in two days. So in comparison with other tourists coming back on a plane from the vacation burned from the sun and being proud about it we were coming back with lots of discovers about the islands and custom made shoes, belts and couple of things to wear for casual business days. I even had a handbag custom made, right on the street´s pathway, as you can see below.. It was incredible, all this cost only 12 EUR and I even have my own signature on it.

I bet you can imagine I was more than excited that after half an hour waiting in the queue and chatting with a girl from Dubai giving me advice on how to marry a rich man I owned a handbag looking like a Birkin even with my name on it, not mentioning the famous lock, too. What was also interesting and it also came with us from Thailand were those funny lamps of different shapes and colors that you can create yourself on the same principle as lego functions. And I actually wanted to ask.. Would you be interested to buy them if you saw them available on the Slovak market? One of them is currently hanging already in our kitchen and it is indeed a great thing if you buy something really practical on a vacation that can bring your memories back every time you turn on the light..

I can assure you I am finishing the trilogy about Thailand as I can imagine it can be not only frustrating to read about other persons´ vacation but also it is a but annoying as I would like to fly away every time I look at a blog myself. What I am happiest about the most is that I came back with a very different attitude towards shopping after this experience. Once you discover the real value of things you normally buy in Europe or in Slovakia, something inside of you moves. When you see that real worth of the clothes or other things is 20 times less than you are normally willing to buy it for, it can be a pretty putting of feeling when you remember all those little guys selling the same things on the streets on in the small shops trying to earn for their living. And I no longer feel like supporting all those distributors who are getting rich on other people´s misfortune. Funny, right? I would never say that I will start to think carefully before buying stuff. Well. Never say never. When you discover the true value of things, sometimes your whole world changes and you can start to concentrate on the right values that should be important to your life from the very beginning.

And despite you can see me glowing from the excitement from extensive shopping up there on the picture, I fortunately had enough of shopping for another year. Shopping mekka fulfilled its purpose.

I shopped and I left a little bit wiser (I hope:) and more appreciative of life itself,  not things that yet cannot make you happy.
